We know that trauma lives in the body. It can impact us in numerous ways. Sometimes we can benefit from a little extra support to nourish ourselves during the therapy process, and some clients elect to work with a dietitian for this purpose.
I spoke with Britt Bailey, MSNHP, RDN, LDN about what it's like to work with her. She specializes in working with exactly the kind of women I work with - those who are dedicated to their wellbeing and need support putting the pieces together.
When you come to work with me, we start with a metabolism test. This shows us exactly where your metabolism is stuck, whether it’s stuck in fight or flight or stuck in freeze, and it tells us so much about why your body has been holding onto fat even when you’re doing everything right. From there we build out a calorie and macro plan made specifically for your body and your results, not some generic plan pulled off the internet. The women I work with are usually between 30 and 45 and have already done real work on themselves. You’ve been in therapy, you understand your nervous system, you know yourself in a way you didn’t used to. And now you’re in this place where the physical side of you is finally ready to catch up. You’re already lifting, already eating high protein, already showing up for yourself. You just want your body to reflect it.That’s what my 1:1 fat loss coaching is built for.
