Art therapy can be a force.

Art therapy can be a catalyst for change and for good.

On a physiological level, it connects us with a state of receiving - receiving what is good and simultaneously dynamically dissolving the negative beliefs we have believed to be true for so long, playing in the background and eroding our sense of self and our true purpose.

Art therapy instills a sense of playfulness and isn't life about abiding the silly anyway? Finding the shared laughter in deep grief, the light in the storm, a lighthouse of hope and wobbling on the lilly pad. You may find a part of you feels locked away from creativity. Maybe a harsh critique delivered from a teacher early in your creative life, just as in The Little Prince, dully mistaking your drawing of a boa constrictor for a drawing of a hat and in an instant you shut away your creativity. Like Rapunzel in a tower: Never again.

And yet, what if that creativity helped you understand what was good and true about you?

What if that was the part of you that felt successful as you learned to create an S out of a series of lines (if you know you know) or recreated your favorite Simpsons character just so or developed symbols just for you and your friends - a promise for a tattoo and best friends forever.

Creativity can easily feel locked away for most of us and art therapy gives us permission to release it.

Creativity is our path back to feeling like you. Unbridled.
